Our company has several manufacturer's representatives who distribute product in certain territories. We would like to be able to pass leads/opportunities to these representatives and report on conversion rates.
We were thinking about setting up Territories to distinguish accounts/leads/opportunities that are owned by the Manufacturer's Representatives. Then we would provide a CRM license to the representatives to access these entities. Security is an issue, and we want to be sure that they are only viewing and editing entities that are in their territory.
Does anyone have any experience having manufacturer representatives use CRM? Any advice or links to resources would be very helpful as we determine the best way to set this up.
