I have a field called Tenant Responsibility Indicator in my property entity. It is a yes/no picklist with the default value set at No. As it is a new field, all of the properties which were on the system prior to the creation of this attribute have this field but it is not set to either yes or no. It is blank.
I have two methods of setting this field which involve adding a property asset which is a child of property. Depending on the type of asset, a workflow sets the Tenant Responsibility Indicator to Yes. Otherwise, it leaves the attribute alone.
If I open a property, I have property assets listed on the details pane to the left. If I open a property and then I click on the property asset on the detail pane. This would bring up a list of property assets if there were any for that property.
The issue I am having is this. If the property entity doesn’t have the Tenant Responsibility Indicator flag set to either Yes or No (which will be the case for most of the properties), when I click on the property asset link on the detail pane, it automatically sets the Tenancy Indicator Flag to Yes. Note that I haven’t pressed the button to make a new property asset which would kick off a workflow to change it. This is just when I’m even looking to see if a property asset is even there! If I move No to the top of the picklist for the Tenant Responsibility Indicator field , then it does the exact same thing except it sets it to No.
Is this normal behaviour? If so, can anyone tell me why it is doing this? I am using CRM 4.0.
Any and all help appreciated.
