Data Loads

Hello CRM experts,

Is there a way to find out what entities /attributes get updated /inserted when we load the data in one entity. Say for example, we load data in Contact entity - what other entities and attributes are affected as part of this example. How do we know before hand based on the configuration/relationship. 

Appreciate if you could help give the details.
