First of all I want to thank this community for being so generous with your thoughts, time, and experience.
We are doing a proof of concept with CRM 2015 on-prem. I have 13 colleges set up as different BU's within CRM 2015. The identity and access control for CRM accounts are controlled by a single AD domain where all the college users have an account. However, their email is hosted at each of the 13 colleges on different platforms (Exchange, GMAIL, Office 365, Sendmail. etc) and the identity and access control for the mail systems is managed by the colleges (not the AD CRM is using). So some of the users will want to use the CRM Outlook client and some may not be using outlook at all. I'm just not seeing a clear direction on what combination I should be setting up (i.e. Email Router & CRM for Outlook vs. Server Side Sync & CRM for Outlook).
Any thoughts and guidance would be appreciated.
