Mail Merge in MS Dynamics CRM 2011 is not populating custom fields

I am trying to do a mail merge in MS CRM 2011 version. None of the Custom fields are populated when trying to merge it. It says the below error:

Invalid Merge Field:

"this merge field is used in the main document but it does not exist in the data source"
