Unable to open web application (aspx page) from Microsoft outlook configured with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

Hi,

I have added a custom button in ISV. On click of this button, an aspx page opens up. This is working fine when we open the CRM site from web client.

Now we are trying to click on this same custom button from Microsoft Outlook configured with CRM 4.0, and the aspx page does not open up.

The workaround we found was to go back to the browser and open the CRM site and clcik on the custom button, then go back to Outlook and click on this custom button. Now the Aspx page opens up from Outlook.

Can someone suggest me why we see this kind of behavior from Outlook.
