Hi there,
I have a number of marketing lists that I'm trying to import into Microsoft Dynamics. These lists are only email addresses, so I'm importing as Leads. In addition to adding to the marketing list I also have a suppression list for the same marketing list. I don't want to dedupe them outside the CRM as we would still like these entities data to be included in the CRM. I imported the marketing list with the field identifying the marketing list preference on YES (Import A) and that import was successful. I then did a second import of the suppression list into the CRM with the marketing list preference set to NO (Import B). Here are my questions:
1. Instead of deduping Import B against Import A with the second import being the overriding marketing list preference I now have duplicates where entities existed in both datasets. How can I do the second import and force it to identify if the entity (Email) already exists as a lead and subsequently update the entities marketing list preference?
2. When doing the import how do I also tell the CRM to identify if the lead entity already exists as a contact entity in the CRM and subsequently update the marketing list preference against the contact instead of simply creating a new lead?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
