We have multiple CRM online environments (development, test, production) and I did our first deployment of customizations to the test environment. All our customizations were part of a solution, so I exported the solution from the development environment (included all dependencies, left Export System Settings unchecked by default, exported as unmanaged) and then imported the solution into the test environment. During the import process I noticed a couple of things:
1. I got a warning message indicating that product updates needed to be installed before some of the solution components would work. I don't remember doing this or seeing a warning like this in the development environment.
2. After the import, some of the settings on custom entities did not carry over. Specifically, the settings on the custom entity that indicate where to display the entity (under the heading "Areas that display this entity"). I would have expected these settings to come over during the import, am I missing something during the export/import process, or is this normal behavior?
