CRM 2011 On Premises - 0x800a03f6 - JavaScript runtime error: Invalid character

We are getting below error message on production server for all our OData web service client side (JavaScript) calls.

0x800a03f6 - JavaScript runtime error: Invalid character

The error triggers at below line of code in call back method.

if (RetrieveReq.readyState == 4 /* Request complete */) {

var return = this.parent.JSON.parse(RetrieveReq.responseText).d;

}

However, the same code is working well on QA and development servers.

Did anybody face such problem?
