Contact with an Opportunity

Hello Everyone:

I have a question:

If a Contact (James Doe) makes an Opportunity is there away to show that info (sub grid) with then their contact info.

We want to be able to go to James Doe and see what Opportunities he has Open, Closed...

Also we want to be able to make a Opportunity within the sub grid.

Any help would be great.
