Hi,
we are implementing our first MSCRM and we are not at this part where autonumbering needs to be decided. We have found that Microsoft provided way of autonumbering is a bit user unfriendly and we would like to keep it much more shorter and in readable format.
I went to number of post here and elsewhere and found that this topic also hot among other guys in community. I have few questions here:
1. is it possible to change this autonumbering in MS CRM and avoid CAS-010000-FJKLDJ type of numbering? ( I guess it is not possible since there are number of solution commercially avaliable)
2. With third party plug in, what would be on issue with upgrades and other stuff related to maintaining it ? (probably goes towards supplier but anyway here is question)
3. Can somebody recommend cost effective, troublefree solution ?
