Mobile - Pinned items disappear on iPhone/Android

I thought the pinning of items was going to be a great addition for our CRM mobile users when it came out in 2015.  Creating shortcuts for them to easily/quickly get to the areas they need to is great.  The problem is, if you're using an iPhone or Android device this feature is not fully supported.  For instance, if your users have pinned a number of items and then have to "sign out" or "reconfigure', they will lose all of the pins that have been setup.

I opened a ticket last year and was hoping this would be addressed in the 2016 update, but as I've tested the new update in the mobile app, it appears to still be an issue.

Anyone else finding this to be a frustration?
