CRM 2016: Is TLS 1.0 still required???

Does anyone know if TLS 1.0 is still required for IFD configured CRM 2016 (on-premise)?  I tried disabling it and got many error events logged in the Application event log related to the e-mail router.  I have the e-mail router installed on the same box as the CRM server.
