outlook filters on custom entities from CRM

Dear All,

We have a requirement to Synchronize only CRM contacts with Outlook not anything other entities with users outlook. Is there any way to achieve this. We know its can be achieved through security roles, but even though users are having full access on CRM, when they access from outlook it should be limited to few functionalities like accessing contacts and email tracking only.

Any thoughts will be helpful like applying custom filters though code etc..
