Creating workflows to delete duplicate leads

I would appreciate any assistance in doing the following:

1. Creating a workflow to merge all duplicate leads, and deleting the non-master record.

2. Creating a workflow to detect duplicates between lead and contact entities where email address is a match -> qualifying the duplicate lead -> merging and deleting the non-master record.
