Hello - I have a scenario where I need to update a permissions setting on an entity for a role. I've done this through the CRM UI in the staging environment.
However, it occured to me that I probably need to ensure that this change makes it into source control so the change can be easily promoted into higher environments.
So how is release management typically handled for this type of change? For the change I described above, do I need to export the solution, make the change locally and then check the solution back in?
Or is this type of change somehow captured at the database level? If so then would this type of change be managed through some type of database script? Please let me know the release management process you use for this type of change....
