Link Opportunity Activity to Accounts

Hello,

I'm trying to link opportunity activity and account activity together so that when an opportunity is created, closed, or modified this would also show up in the account activity section also. I'm not sure if this is possible, but is there a way to automatically update in an account  with "an opportunity has been created" when it happens or something of the sort?
