Quick Create Checkboxes Are Grayed for All Activities (CRM 2015 on prem)

Hi - The Quick Create checkboxes on Activities, Phone Calls, Tasks, Appointments are all grayed out. What is the best way to get those checkboxes to become live again so I can enable the Quick Create feature for these entities again? Thank you!
