Creating opportunity from Account in 2012

If I am viewing the account page, what is the best way to create an opportunity?

I do not see a "New opportunity" button.

Even if I click on Navigation->Opportunities, I do not see a way to create a new opportunity.

If I switch to the classic view, there is a "Add New Opportunity" button... but I don't want to use the classic view.
