Dashboard - Ribbon Doesn't change correctly

Hi:

We have a new 2016 environment setup and a dashboard with sections that display "Contacts, Activities and Incidents".  When we login, the dashboard loads as the default and then I click on a contact in the contact section of the dashboard; the dashboard ribbon doesn't show the related ribbon and the same thing happens when we click on the other entity type dashboard sections as well. 

Does anyone have any ideas for how we can resolve this?
