Please explain security around SendAs privilege and the implications

I have workflows which send emails as other users.  In other words, User A is an assistant for User B.  User A is running a workflow which sends an email from User B.

Can someone explain the security implications of this, if there are any?  I assume enabling "SendAs" privilege only allows a workflow to SendAs, that it doesn't have any other security implication.
