hi
We have a working application written in asp.net MVC and the goal is to be able to add the Microsoft Dynamics CRM? functionality to manage a new document and track changes and have the ability to add approvals and go thru several steps to become 'published'.
Watched the video of Microsoft staff releasing Dynamics 365 at an event? wow. Didnt know this kind of product was out there, and I want to build with it.
Am new to the Dynamics 365 product line and new to this kind of application. Saw examples of document flow control using Workflow but those are from 2007-2010. Downloaded the SDK and want to implement document control but not sure where to start?? If my app uses CRM or ? then the hope is it will be able to interface to some Dynamics 365 products in the future.
So is there a way to utilize the SDK to build up a standalone document control app? It would include a page to create New Project, fill in the user and manager names from a dropdown (already have that), fill in the data and various project dates and milestones, set any other items and click Submit and the initial document is created, emails get sent to the right people any changes are tracked and the project Admins have to digitally sign and accept, eventually its considered published/approved.
How can I utilize existing templates and interfaces/standards to do this? thanks in advance
