Create an alert when a checkbox is unchecked

I need to create an alert asking the user if they really want to uncheck a checkbox on a form.  (The default value of the checkbox is No)  I am new to using JavaScript in CRM - would anyone point me to examples of how this would work, or tutorials on using JavaScript in CRM?  We are using Dynamics 365 online.
