Opportunity totals based on Product - ProductTypeCode

I'm trying to accomplish a couple of things at the opportunity level based on the Products added to the Opp.  I have assigned each product a type of either License, Software, Maintenance, or TPL.  

1.  On the Opportunity form, I want to calculate a total for Licenses, Services, and Maintenance individually for that opp.    I've tried calc fields and rollups but can't get to that level of the query.

2.  Would like to build a chart / dashboard that shows those totals for our opps.  But again, can get to that level.

I could do this in our previous CRM system, but am banging my head on the wall here.  Any help would be appreciated.
