Clearing up unmanaged solutions

Hi,

I can see that my client has 3 unmanaged solutions that are all installed on the same date, and two of them are identical aside one entity. 

What would be the best way to find out which solutions are in use, and if they can be deleted/merged?

Any help would be appreciated, also if you have any relevant material about the topics.
