I have a situation where the four Active Directory Groups used by Dynamics 365 have been deleted and the production system is broken. The Groups I'm referred to are: PrivReportingGroup, SQLAccessGroup, ReportingGroup and PrivUserGroup.
This is an On-Premise Dynamics 365 environment with SQL Server separate from the Dynamics servers. 'Network Services' is used to run all Dynamics Services.
The groups were restored and I've been informed they were restored with the existing SIDs. It's been over 24 hours so the Groups would have replicated around the domain. I have rebooted the SQL Server and the Dynamics Servers expecting it to be resolved but it's still broken.
When I try to access the system I receive this error:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Cannot open database "MSCRM_CONFIG" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'domainname\dynamics365servername$'. at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionPool.TryGetConnection
I've tried to issue a repair on the Dynamics server but during the checks I receive this error:
The "PrivReportingGroup" group is not specified.
Any assistance would be most appreciated.
