Count the number of contacts in a Hierarchy structure per level

Hi All

I have created a Hierarchy structure with contacts much like a networking business model, I need to count the number of people per level up to 5 levels below the contact.

I need to show this on the form as Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level4 and Level 5 with a count of how many contacts lie on each level. I know i need ot create the fields on the form however, What type of field should they be and how do i count the records only for a specific level?

You help with this will be greatly appreciated.
