Portal Search in Knowledge articles not displaying images

Hello Experts

We have created and published  KB article in dynamics 365 with images stored as Web resources . These images are however not visible when searched from Customer portal .  They appear with (x) mark which i am guessing is due to permission issue. 

I have added entity permission(global read) for Webresources as well to rule out permission issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
