insufficient Permission while saving online excel sheet, in contact records

Hi All, 

here is the scenario

user tried to export a contact view to Excel On-Line in order to update the preferred language field.

user can export, but when saving the changes back to CRM user gets an error message "Insufficient Priveliges"

Kindly let me know the solution, as user has export to excel privilege is given.
