CRM 2016 - web API Post request to retrieve contact

Hi Everyone,

Within CRM 2016 I understand that GET requests are the standards to retrieve data and POST is to create data. However due to an external application only accepting POST requests, I need a way to use a POST request to retrieve a contacts data that pertains to CRM's webAPI.
