There is no direct way to convert an .ost to .pst if the same profile is not available. But if you are login with your original profile which has used for creation of OST file, then you can easily extract emails from OST file using ”Import and Export” option of Microsoft Outlook.

Requirement:
The first thing is that connection with the Exchange Server and the next thing is Outlook must be installed on the local computer system .

Step 1: Start and Run Microsoft Outlook

Step 2: Go to the File menu and choose Import and Export” option

Step 3: A “Import and Export Wizard” will appear, click the Export to a file” option and hit the “Next”.

Step 4: Now choose the Outlook Data File(.pst)and hit the Next

Step 5: Now select the mailbox folder to export from. You may also include the subfolders.

Step 6: Choose the location to save the new PST file and finally click the “Finish”.

But you can’t execute the above mentioned procedure if you have original profile is unavailable or connectivity to Exchange is not available. Here is just a step to step procedure of OST to PST Converter App on how to extract mails from OST file without Outlook or Exchange:

The whole process involves safety of original mailbox data. Have you any other safe idea?
