Sub Grid of Associated Entities not showing data until page is refreshed

I have created a plugin that fires during the OnEntityPostCreating. The plugin uses service.Associate(...) to associate entities to it. The associated entities are displayed on a sub grid of the Entity that was created. After the entity has saved the sub grid is empty, but if I refresh the page they are there.

Is it possible to have the grid populated after the initial save?
