We are using Dynamics crm 2013 on-premise and Exchange online using server side sync. (Of course, it is not supported way by Microsoft)
Our server profile has following settings
| Authenticate using | Credentials Specified in Email Server Profile |
| user Name | test@xxx.xxx |
| password | xxxx |
| Use Impersonation | No |
In our company we are using smart card for authentication and users does not know their credentials. NO user mailbox contains credentials. So we choose option " Credentials Specified in Email Server Profile" in server profile for Authentication. test@xxx.com is a service account and we know the credentials.
With above configuration, mail box (test@xxx.com ) able to send outgoing emails.
In order to work for other mailboxes which are in CRM, what configuration steps do we have to do either in Exchange server( impersonation etc..) or in CRM.
