UI - Custom entities: Link to regarding object in activities is not created

We have several custom entities in our environment. Each has activities activated. In the new UI following is happening:

Custom Entity 1 - All users have access - Link for regarding object in activities works fine.

Custom Entity 2 - permission user based and access teams - Link for regarding object in activities does not work.

Is this a new unknown and not needed feature in the UI?
