Hi,
I have CRM 2015 with 2 front-end and 2 back-end servers and 3 organization databases in Always On Availability Group. I would like to upgrade this to 2016.
I was upgrading CRM 2015 to 2016, when upgrade started the databases were still in the availability group. After a while I got this error "Some operations are not allowed on a database that is participating in a database mirroring session or in an availability group." This is the same error that is reported in this blog post. https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/sonomapartners/archive/2016/07/18/crm-upgrade-with-sql-alwayson And I have removed my primary organization database from the availability group and hit the retry button. Upgrade finished and I have put my database back in the availability group. And everything worked fine.
Should I have to remove the database from the availability group before starting the database upgrade via the configuration manager?
Should I have to remove the database from the availability group before upgrading the front-end and back-end software?
Should I remove the database from the availability group at the time when the error is occurred like I did last time on the test server.
