I am completely new to Dynamics CRM and have taken over a CRM project. Yay!!! ;-)
Question.
I have a “Personnel” entity that contains quite a few fields. There are 3 fields in this record that I want only certain people to be able to update and only these 3 fields.
So I created another entity that holds the 3 fields plus a username lookup. The 3 fields are required fields.
I want to run a workflow that takes the 3 fields on my new entity record and overwrite the 3 fields in the Personnel entity for this person.
I have no idea on how to “Join” these 2 entities to be able to update the Persons record in the “Personnel” entity.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
