Read Lookup field and insert content into another entity via javascript.

Hi,
I'm still pretty inexperienced with the CRM Dynamics and I would be interested, is it possible via Javascript, from a lookup field to read the selected record and read in another Fromular (another entity) in another Lookup field again? the lookup field in both cases refers to the same source (entity).
