I've questions about SQL server for current CRM version (8.2.2.112) and related cumulative updates.
On the MS site is written that mentioned version of CRM supports Microsoft SQL Server 2016, Enterprise with Cumulative Update 2 (CU2). So I have following questions related to that:
- Is it allowed to install cumulative updates for this SQL Server version?
- Do the updates affect on support that is guranteed by Microsoft?
- Will CRM work OK if we patch our sql server to version SQL 2016 SP2 CU17 without upgrading CRM application?
- Can we expect any problems after upgrade?
I am trying to gather needed information, because probably we'll have to do an upgrade of SQL server. The documentation for our CRM version is not updated anymore, so I couldn't find the answers on internet. Probably someone has experiences with that and could help me out.
