When I extract data from an entity using ADF, one of the date field value for some of the records are null and for some empty string

When I extract data from an entity using ADF, one of the date field value for some of the records are null and for some empty string. How is it possible? Is there anything we need to do on CRM side so field value will be always empty if not provided.
