I'm working on monthly reporting from CRM 2011. I'm using standard dynamics reporting tools, no extensions.
I'm building chart from quotes data.
Our project business line often quotes large projects for multiple customers, end result being:
quo-123, Project XYZ, Contoso LTD, $100000, closed
quo-223, Project XYZ, Northwind LTD, $101000, closed
quo-323, Project XYZ, Southwind LTD, $101000, closed
quo-423, Project XYZ, Eastwind LTD, $101000, closed
quo-523, Project XYZ, Westwind LTD, $101000, closed
quo-623, Project XYZ, NorthCTwind, $99500, won
When we get listing "quotes by month", we get inflated quote base due to the amount of project quotes.
If we have offered same 100k project to 10 potential customers, we get 1 Mil, in quote base rather than the actual opportunity of 100k of the quotes.
We have lot of direct projects so creating opportunity for everything doesn' t really make sense for us, it would create lot of extra work for the sales guys.
Does someone have a suggestion how to group (and maybe calculate average price?) projects by name on quotes chart?
