While recently doing some outbound emails using Eloqua, we found that a large number of contacts in crm are now not valid. I was wondering if there was any way to import this list from excel, in whatever format is needed, into crm, and to then delete the contents of this list.
Is anything like this possible? The number of contacts needed to be deleted would take about 3 months to do manually. Thanks

When I click the lookup on the Regarding field in a Custom Activity I see that I can only select entities from the list. I guess there is no way to relate two Activities to each other?
we have created the Custom SSRS Report.this report runs on selected records. every thing working fine.
problem: the report running perfectly when we select 40 records. if we select more than 40 reports. we are facing report time out error,
default report time out is 1800 seconds, but in MS CRM online it supporting only 180 seconds.
do we have any option to increase time out in MS CRM 2011 online

When i am installing crm for outlook,
I am getting some kind of error like "Installation failed,SQL Server compact Service pack 3.5 is failed....bla bla"
What will be the reason for this error?
I'm looking to add some rules to update the Activity Feed based on changes made to a custom entity, however I see no way of doing this i.e. There is no 'New' button in the Activity Rules view ribbon. There is a 'New' button if you click the arrow next to the 'Rules' link but then there is no way to save a rule in this form ??? Very strange. I saw some posts suggesting that a workaround was to create a WF to perform an auto-post to the Record Wall, but I just want to make sure there aren't any other supported methods available.
Is there a way in which you can set reminders to go off for tasks that have been assigned to other users? It appears that I can only set a reminder for appointments and my own tasks- but as soon as they are assigned the privilege of reminders is gone.
We have a user who is continually plagued by CRM Offline issues. The first time she had issues, we removed the application and reloaded. She is located in France and goes offline daily because she said the performance of OL and CRM are better if she is Offline. Does anyone have any data to support this? She presumably went along fine for several months and now is receiving an error message "An error occurred during intalling database. Contact your Microsoft Dynamics CRM administrator...." and cannot go offline. In between her first issue going offline several months ago, her workstation was rebuilt and the application was reloaded. Suggestions? Comments? Thanks.
So where are the emails visible in CRM when you have tracked them through out look. Even when the regarding field has been linked through to a particular account. I cannot see where the email is actually available to be read from.
We're in the late stages of our project here in the UK and we're hoping to rollout in a few months; we're trying to decide on the pros and cons of each (CRM Online/Microsoft Partner) before we start approaching Microsoft Partners. Does anyone have any idea on what a single user licence would cost with a Partner? I'm looking for the average cost of a licence so that I know what Partners to approach.

Hi, I am facing such a case.
My customer has an old system with an oracle database.
Clients login into the system with user id and password in database’s user table.
And now they want to import Dcrm2011 on premise.
They will create a new AD for the Crm.
And they want to add some link to the old Oracle System.
The links will directly open crm record. As we know Crm requires authentication first.
They want to know if they can open crm link with the user id used by the oracle system without authentication dialog.
The user id will be same in the oracle database and the new AD.
Is this possible?

Is there a way to set up Dynamics CRM 2011 to user NTLM authentication over transport security.
The default set up seems to be using NTLM/Kerberos but over Message security.
If it is possible could you please point out to some how to guide or at least point out the configuration files I need to modify?

I am a partner and have a client that would want to import his contact groups across to CRM - how would they separate out as individual contacts. He sends email merges out to these group - would this be possible in CRM.
When an email address no longer exists ie someone moved from company and your contacts out of date how does CRM flag that?

Has anyone noticed what seems to be a bug post UR 13 wherein clicking on a hyperlink field on entity from a list view opens a browser window with a malformed web address, but clicking the link on the form itself works correctly?

I cannot see my necessary tools / icons in CRM > Workplace > My Work dashboard.
For example, Calendar, Queues, Imports, Reports, are all missing under the My Work dashboard in CRM for Office 365 Cloud. In my old Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online product, my Calendar tools were under My Work.
Can somebody help step me in right direction for configuring my My Work area in CRM for Office 365 Cloud?

I have disabled org for which I want to change SQL Server instance, then I went to edit organization wizard. I putted up the new Server report services URL, and mentioned new SQL Server in the wizard. System check wizard passed successfully. Is there a way to redirect the sign out button back to the sign in page?
When you click on "sign out" it takes you to the page that says "you have signed out" but it would be nice if it could automatically redirect you back to the log in screen without having to retype the URL.
I've worked out all the bugs in the installation, but now that it's all installed, CRM comes up and tells me three things:
1. Despite having installed the Reporting Extensions from the C:\CRMFolder\SrsDataConnector\SetupSrsDataConnector.exe file, the Deployment Manager continues to tell me that Reporting is not enabled and to install it.
2. "One or more Server Roles are missing from this deployment: Full Server." Now I'm not sure why it's telling me this, as I'm pretty sure Full Server just means that the Server Core with GUI is installed. If there's a role I'm missing please let me know, currently I have installed on server:\
A) App Servwer
B) File and Storage Services
C) IIS
D) Remote Access (not setup)
E) Local Server and All Servers (Pretty sure these are just the standard roles installed at the beginning)
3. "One or more Organizations in this deployment do not have the latest update." This is also a big issue, when I click on the Organizations tree to the left, it shows my Org. but it says "Status: Failed" and if you right click on the Org and choose Properties, the Deployment system crashes and I have to restart it.
Any help is much appreciated, I've been scouring everything I can to figure this out. Also as a end note, I've done all updates past Rollup 13.

The only way seems to re-type all the information in the lead form.
