Sent an external email - now need to update CRM to show this activity

Hi,

 

We use an external email client to send our email newsletters, however we need the ability to update our campaigns to reflect that an email has been sent without then sending another email via outlook.

 

There does not seem to be an option to say "email contact" without having to actually email them again through the CRM.  Does anyone have an idea of how to solve this issue.
