Restoring CRM Database

Hi Expects,

We have an on-premise deployment and accidentally deleteted a few records from an entity. How can we recover this ? Presumably through restoring the database back-ups but is there a way to restore the deleted records ? I assume we would need to set up real time back ups ? I know nothing about back-ups by the way.
