problem viewing some entities in CRM Outlook

I have a user set up that used to be able to use CRM through outlook and was able to view, edit, create cases, accounts, contacts, service calendar etc. Since I have changed him to new security profile when he tries to look at cases etc it just hangs and nothing is dispalyed except Service calender and Service. this works fine. He can convert emails to cases OK as well

If he accesses CRM through the work URL all is fine and he can work as per usual.

Is there something I am missing in the security profile? Nothing is standing out. (I cant compare with the old security profile as I deleted it :(

I have tried resetting the outlook for CRM setting to no avail.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
