Hi guys,

So I have a custom qualify lead button that qualifies the lead using a js function the function requires the clientUrl and after doing some research i found out that i can get the client Url using context.getClientUrl, unfortunately i am unable to find a way in Ribbon Workbench to pass the context as a param.

Any advice is welcomed.

Hi

I have a custom entity linked to contact. 1:N

I have a sub grid on contact form and click the + button to add a new record in my custom entity.

The custom entity has a few lookup fields to contact, and when clicking + all the lookups are populated with the contact I created the record from.

Is there any way to stop this? I only need one lookup field to be populated, not all of them.

Emails not always converted to a case in Dynamics

I setup a shared inbox in Office 365. The emails in that shared inbox are converted automatically to a Case. This is working fine, though in some cases the emails are not converted to a case. This problem seems random as an email from an existing contact sometimes does convert to a case.

Though another email, with a new and different subject line, not being a reply to an earlier email or case, is not converted to an email.

This means engineers cannot rely on Dynamics to show all their cases.

Would anybody have an idea where to look for a solution.

Incoming email is set to Server-side Synchronization or Email Router

Outgoing email is set to Server-side Synchronization or Email Router

I did find 1 alert with email server error code: Web server returned 3 ReceiveFailure exception.

Hello, I am creating a custom entity named "Application" on click of a button in Lead. I am doing this using plugin.  Now, I have to map all the field values from Lead to Application using the same plugin.  How can I set the field values of Lead to newly created Application entity?

Access Teams - Multiple Templates per entity problem

Hi All,

I have a weird issue when trying to add 2 Access teams templates to the account entity

I created 2 templates called 'Read' and 'Write' ('Read' has read permissions and 'Write' has write)

I then create the 'Read' Grid on the Account Form and select the 'Read' access template from Associated Users and click ok... (no Set available)

I then create the 'Write' Grid and select the 'Write' access Template and click ok... (no set available)

However the 'Write' grid defaults to the 'Read' access template, you can select the 'Write' template save and publish all you want it always defaults back meaning both grids will contain the same users...

Is this a bug? we are using CRM 365 On-prem U2.1 (8.2.1.176)

Console App - Deleting records error

I have a console app for cleaning up attachments in our CRM that for some reason is throwing an error today.

My relevant code is (I pass an Entity Collection of ActivityMimeAttachment records):

foreach (Entity r in records.Entities)
    service.Delete(r.LogicalName, r.Id);


On the delete line I get the error "Guid should contain 32 digits with 4 dashes (xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx)." but the guid is 10f316ee-7a60-e511-8117-c4346bac3e84:

How do I resolve this?

This is for CRM Online version 8.2 - could that have something to do with it?

EDIT:

Further testing indicates this is specific to deleting attachments. I can delete other types of records by passing a different entity collection to the foreach loop

Toggle field codes missing in dynamics 365 document template

Hi,

We have uploaded some Document Templates for Dynamics 365 but we are unable to right click on the fields in the word document and select "toggle field codes".  We do this in mail merge to format dates correctly and remove blank address lines etc.

It is missing in Dynamics 365 Document Templates. Does anyone know how we can format the date coming out of CRM in a template like this?

IE11 does not render my crm custom reports.

Hi Guys

I have issue with IE11  when running custom reports on it. I can view reports on IE11 in my machine but all client machines does not display  the  data on the report. Chrome and firefox works  for  them but IE does not. And their default browser is IE. I  think something is preventing the reports in  their machine but I don't know what. I tired all possible solutions including the compatibility view. if anyone knows what might be the problem please assist. Note reports never displayed on their IE from the start.

We have a custom field "AADT Type" in our Opportunity form. It is locked to most users. For the few that do have access to it, we want to create a wall post indicating who changed the field along with a time stamp. Is this possible?

Pipeline Phase Change Reporting

Hello,

We would like to do some analysis on Pipeline flow, but currently we can only see when an Opportunity is created and when it enters "Sale". However this is useful for Flow Through reporting, we want to drill into how our Opportunities are moving from Phase to Phase, i.e. Develop to Propose, Propose to Sample, and so on...

Will this require customization, or is that a built in feature that we have not uncovered yet?

Main form for Dynamics 365 Mobile App

We are exploring Dynamics 365 mobile app and cannot find the create form for the entities. We want to customize the app form, what we see is that when we create a new record on the mobile app, it displays the quick create form instead of main form.

Any help is appreciated.

Using the Display Order field to order categories on Knowledge Base page doesn't seem to work

I was working with the categories and wanted to use the category Display Order (sequencenumber) field to order the categories on the page, however the portal doesn’t seem to have access to it - see red text below:

 

My ‘Knowledge Base Home’ template:

Hello,

My doubt is about Dynamics 365 Trial and Portals.

As I can see in this website, Portals are included in Dynamics 365 Trial:

But in my instance manager I can't see any APPLICATIONS:

As you can see, the instance is available. In this instance I have all modules:

Could you please help me? I would like to set the Portal up to try it.

SSIS Import error

Hi ,

I have to update a filed territory in contact form from Account territory field using inner join in SSIS import method for all records.

After update there are more than 5000+ records that is not updated . but there is no error when i redirect the columns for errors...

It has run successfully, but at the end there are some columns that had not been updated... i did not understand the problem ..

I am running this in production environment . I already ran the same in development environment and did not face any problem..

Getting the following warning :

Contact I'd in plugin context

Is it possibly to pass the contactid to a plugin when a portal contact performs an update on a record in Crm. At the minute it only identifies the contact as the crm system user regardless of what contact performs the operation .  Your advice would be great . Thanks G
